This joke expresses the exceptional destiny of this city. With no natural resource and a cramped territory, Geneva was able to move among the most well known cities in the world. European headquarters of the United Nations and many international governmental and non-governmental organizations, Geneva also radiates by its intellectual prestige, by the quality of its University and research centres. Large merchant centre since the middle ages, the City-State has gradually converted into an attractive location for multinational companies.
Geneva is today considered the world number one place for commodity trading. Geneva is also an important financial place both for financing commodity trade and general investment. Geneva has a competitive taxation, a skilled and multilingual workforce and the cosmopolitan character of the region.
It is also a concentration of policy makers and those who make the difference at the economic level, of entrepreneurs, sovereign wealth funds and investment funds, regulators, media leaders and the experts and economists interested in the African continent.

Created in 2012 the Africa Hub in Geneva (AHG) is the multi-service platform for representation and support to African companies in Geneva.

AFRICA
Africa has shown enormous growth capacity and is recognized for its human and natural resources; true prosperity. It is therefore important that leaders around the world begin to realize the importance of this continent. While emerging markets countries display a double digit growth rate, Central Africa and West Africa, in particular, are making a nice breakthrough despite some political situations that have shaken the continent recently.

It is time that these two poles, one of development and the other of expertise, meet fully, to give effect to a conjunction of interests and lead to concrete achievements.
